More than good-looking websites

Designed to look good. Built to work hard.

Good website design in Wirral should do more than make a strong first impression. Every site I build is shaped around usability, performance, search visibility and the actions you want visitors to take.

01

Conversion Focused

Clear layouts, strong calls to action and purposeful page structures help guide visitors towards making contact, requesting a quote or completing a purchase.

02

Mobile Responsive

Every website is designed to work smoothly across phones, tablets and desktops, with layouts that adapt naturally to different screen sizes.

03

Search Friendly

SEO is considered from the start, with clean page structure, logical content hierarchy and solid technical foundations rather than being added as an afterthought.

04

Built for Speed

Lightweight code, optimised assets and sensible page design help keep loading times low and create a faster, smoother experience for visitors.

One website. One joined-up approach. Work directly with an experienced website designer in Wirral who considers design, SEO, usability and performance together.

Built for modern search

Designed for today. Ready for what's next.

A modern website should do more than look professional. It should load quickly, be easy for customers to use and give search engines and AI-powered search systems a clear structure to understand.

01
Website Design

Strong foundations first.

Every website is built around usability, mobile responsiveness, performance and a clear page structure, giving your business a solid technical and content foundation from day one.

03
AI Search

Structured for changing search behaviour.

Clear content, logical page relationships and well-structured information can make it easier for modern search and AI systems to understand what your business does and when your content is relevant.

SEO foundations included A search-friendly website is not the same as a full SEO campaign.

Your website build includes the core SEO foundations, but detailed keyword research, competitor analysis, content targeting, ongoing optimisation and link building are provided separately through my SEO service.

How the build works

Clear from the start. Refined until it's right.

Every project follows a clear, structured process from the first conversation through to launch. You know what is being delivered, when it will be delivered and what it will cost before the main build begins.

01
Discuss

Understand what you need.

I start with a direct meeting or telephone call to understand your business, your customers, the purpose of the website and what you want it to achieve.

02
Scope

Agree the work before I start.

Once I have captured the requirements, I produce a Statement of Work setting out exactly what will be delivered, the expected timescales and the agreed project cost.

03
Prototype

See the design before the full build.

I create a lightweight first build showing the homepage and usually one or two key service or product pages, so you can see the direction before I build out the rest of the site.

04
Refine

Keep refining until it feels right.

You can request as many design iterations as needed at this stage. I refine the layouts, content and visual direction until you are completely happy with the design.

05
Build

Build out the full website.

Once the design direction is approved, I build the remaining pages using the agreed structure, with responsiveness, performance and core SEO foundations considered throughout.

06
Launch

Sign off and publish live.

Once the final website is approved, I complete the launch checks and publish it live. Hosting, future updates and ongoing support can then continue through the same point of contact.

Website design pricing

Straightforward pricing. No hidden commitments.

Every project is quoted around the work involved, but these guide prices give you a clear idea of what to expect before I start. There are no compulsory monthly website fees or long-term contracts.

Website design FAQs

Questions answered. Before you even ask.

A few of the questions I am most often asked about website design, hosting, domain ownership, ongoing support and what happens after your new site goes live.

01 How much does a website cost?

A Small Business Website typically starts from around £895, a more extensive Business Website from around £1,595 and Ecommerce & Large Sites from around £3,500.

Every project is quoted individually based on the number of pages, functionality, integrations, content requirements and the work involved.

02 Do I have to host my website with you?

No. Hosting is completely optional. I offer managed hosting on dedicated servers located in the UK for £150 per year, with full cPanel access and no hosting tie-ins.

I can also create unlimited email accounts using your domain name. If you prefer to host the website elsewhere, that is absolutely fine.

03 Will I have to manage the website myself?

No. I provide a fully managed website service, so you do not need to learn or maintain a CMS.

If you need page, content or design changes after launch, you can contact me directly and I can handle them for you.

04 Is SEO included with the website?

The website is built with the core SEO foundations you would expect, including clear page structure, headings, internal linking, mobile responsiveness, performance and technical setup.

This does not include a full SEO campaign. Detailed keyword research, competitor analysis, content targeting, ongoing optimisation and link building are separate SEO services.

View my SEO services

05 Who owns my domain name?

You do. Your domain name remains in your ownership at all times and there is no need to transfer it to me in order for me to build or host your website.

If we ever stop working together, you retain control of the domain and can move the website or hosting wherever you choose.

06 How long does a website take to build?

A typical Small Business Website can often be completed from start to finish in around 3–4 weeks, depending on the scope of the project and how quickly content and design approvals are provided.

Larger business, ecommerce or more complex websites will naturally take longer. I agree the expected timescale with you at the start and keep you updated throughout the build.

07 Can you redesign my existing website?

Yes. If your current site feels dated, difficult to use or no longer reflects your business, I can redesign it around a cleaner structure, improved mobile experience and stronger visual direction.

Existing content and SEO value can also be considered during the rebuild so useful assets are not discarded unnecessarily.

08 Do I need to provide all the content and images?

No. If you already have suitable content, branding and imagery I can work with them, but I can also create all of the website content as part of the build.

I can source suitable stock photography or create AI-generated imagery where appropriate, and I can shape the page structure, messaging and visual direction so the finished website feels consistent and professional.

09 Why use a freelance website designer instead of an agency?

You work directly with the person designing and building your website rather than being passed between sales teams, account managers, designers, developers and support staff.

Website design, optional hosting, future changes and SEO support can all be handled through the same direct point of contact.

10 How do payments work?

A 50% deposit is required before the project starts. The remaining 50% is only due once the website is complete, you are happy with the finished result and the project has been signed off.
